POE 2000's LEAP FROM PAGE TO STAGE MIXED IN QUALITY
November 26, 1999, Scott Morgan, The Salt Lake Tribune

In POE 2000, Plan-B makes some inventive storytelling leaps as it transfers tales from the page to the stage.

By reinterpreting and modernizing Poe's familiar and not-so-familiar writings, Plan-B shows that the works are as valid today as when they were written. While some purists might take issue with the tinkering of time and place, the essence of Poe's genius pervades each piece.

As the mastermind behind POE 2000, Tobin Atkinson adapts, directs and acts in the two-character show with plenty of flair and precise vocalization. He is partnered by Schuyler "Skye" Myers, who tackles each piece with a wealth of intelligent acting.

POE 2000 emerges as a show with a patchwork-quilt quality. Intertwined with the storytelling thread and cloth of Poe and Plan-B, some pieces in the show stand out with detailed intricacy and depth while others are thread-bare in comparison.
